Fin Generator
External profile fins laid along a face’s UV, with motion that varies across the surface.

What it does
Fins are laid out along the face UV boundary (FaceUvBoundary). What makes the tool expressive is that four properties can each vary across the surface along an editable curve.
Feature by feature
Capabilities
Face selection
Pick one or more faces; fins follow the face UV boundary.
Profile, spacing and count
Standard array controls for the fin run.
Four motion channels
Height, rotation, twist and scale — each driven by an editable control-handle curve. The value is linearly interpolated between handles, so a channel can rise, wave or randomize across the face.
Live translucent preview
Rendered from the same engine used for the final build, with triangle-count and truncation reporting so a partial preview is never mistaken for a dropped result.
Units and output
Unit-aware, converting to Revit internal units; output is DirectShape solids.
